A graduate of Keele, and Licentiate of the RAM, Hannah studied singing with Jeffrey Talbot and had Master Classes with Rosalind Plowright, Marjorie Thomas and Paul Hamburger. At first singing with the Hanover Band at the Alte Oper Frankfurt and St Etienne Cathedral Toulouse, Hannah has since sung as a soloist in St John’s Smiths Square, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican and in the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House in performances from the Allegri Miserere and Mozart’s Mass in C minor to premieres of new works.
After several seasons with the New D’Oyly Carte in the West End, Hannah’s operatic roles include Mimi, Musetta, Micaela, Pamina, Fiordiligi, Susanna, Despina, Donna Anna, Rosalinda, Frasquita, Kate Pinkerton, Shepherd Boy, Yum Yum, Plaintiff, Belinda, Lucy and Gabrielle, and most recently as Verdi’s Lady Macbeth.
Orchestral concerts include Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder with the Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra, A Viennese Evening at the Buxton Festival, Viva Verdi in Hampstead, and as Jenny Lind at the invitation of the Lind family. She also enjoys producing entertainments and concerts for Opera d’Amici and is a passionate promoter of singing in education, devising and directing over 15 singing festivals for a thousand children annually at the Rose Theatre, Kingston on Thames and founding a junior operatic company.
